The Main Admin page
After logging in to your site and clicking on the Admin link, the first page you see will have the next three panels displayed. Note: The example images provided in this User Guide may not be exactly the same as those in your sNews Admin area, but panel descriptions are the same non-the-less. Let’s walk through the features each Admin Panel provides.
Manage Content Panel
The Manage Content Panel allows you to Add New content or View existing content with the four following options:
Categories – under which you will post your content to,
Articles – content for display in the Home page or other category pages,
Extra – content in other locations on your pages,
Pages – separate pages that will contain specific content.
Clicking on the Add New link beside any of the four options will open a new panel so you can… depending on your choice… add a new category, a new article, extra content, or a new separate page to your site. Since the panels are different for each option, we’ll expand on these one by one further on here or in another page for each.
Clicking on the View link will provide you with a list of the content items (categories, articles, extra contents or pages) that already exist in your database. The View Categories panel provides a list of existing categories and the option of editing any category listed. The Articles, Extra and Pages View panels provides a list of existing articles (extra content and pages) with the option of viewing and editing each item by title.
Settings and File Management
This panel provides links to two new panels. You can change a number of site-specific settings in the first panel. In the second panel, you can Upload to, and view or delete files (images and other file-based content) within visible folders in your site.
Login Status Panel
This panel, at the bottom of the first Admin Page, is a fairly obvious one. It provides you with a Logout link. Always remember to log out after every editing session.
