A few words…

Before starting on your first new xhtml-based template, it’s important to have at least a basic understanding of how to work with Cascading Stylesheets (CSS). The default sNews template is crafted using CSS. No tables and cells are used in the index file, so if you’re totally new to CSS, here are a few good links to get you started on the basics.

Start with: w3schools.com CSS tutorial. And if that one do not suite you, you could always Google for others, here’s a google search for you.

Browse through our help center and learn about template tags and how to simply create your own theme. Dig into sNews and customize it to behave the way you want.

EXTEND

sNews can be a simple blog tool and a full blown CMS. Customize it with addons, mods or play with different themes.
