Are you looking to earn some quick cash for your used car?

If you want to get a car off your hands and earn some extra money in the process, we’ve got you covered.

Alternatively, if you are searching for a car but can’t afford a new one, you’ve come to the right place.

Today, we will be going over the best used car websites in the United States for buying and selling used cars.

Financing is available from most of them, which means you can pay for your used car monthly, if you qualify, instead of all at once!

If you want to sell a car, many of these sites allow you to get an instant offer and cash within days.

Quick Summary

The best used car websites for buying and selling used cars include:

  • Cars.com
  • CarMax
  • CarGurus
  • Autotrader
  • eBay Motors
  • AutoTempest

For the full list, continue reading!

1. Cars.com

Cars.com is one of the largest websites for buying and selling used cars in the US market. When searching for cars to buy, simply filter for used or certified cars.

Certified cars can be a bit more expensive, but they’re a surer bet. A certified pre-owned car has been certified by a dealer and thoroughly inspected to ensure that it is working properly.

Certified pre-owned cars also usually come with other perks, such as a free vehicle inspection and an extended vehicle warranty that a regular used car would not have.

Different manufacturers have different certification programs, so the requirements to be certified can vary. Cars.com has a useful chart allowing you to compare certification programs from different car manufacturers.

In any case, Cars.com has tons of vehicles to choose from. There are even pickup trucks and electric vehicles available for sale.

You may be eligible for financing, even on a used car. Cars.com has partnered with several loan providers, such as Capital One, to offer financing to its customers.

Financing depends on the dealer you are purchasing from through Cars.com, as each lender in the Cars.com network has partnerships with specific dealers directly.

You can see if you prequalify before making a loan application without hurting your credit score. Prequalification is easy and takes just a few minutes.

If you want to sell your car, there are two ways to go about it.

The easiest way is to sell directly to a dealer. When you sell to a dealer, you will get an instant offer and complete the sale upon inspection.

You won’t have to deal with potential customers. The dealer will pay you for the car directly.

Another option is creating a listing and selling it on Cars.com yourself. That way, you may have more control over the price, but you will have to deal with customers directly.

Since the dealership is obviously looking to buy low and sell for a higher price, it is likely that you will get a lower price if you sell directly to a dealership. For many people, though, it’s worth it, as you avoid the hassle of dealing with customers.

In either case, when you submit your car’s details to Cars.com, the site will give you an estimate of how much you can sell your car for to either a dealership or a private customer.

2. CarMax

Another website I love for selling and buying used cars is CarMax. You can purchase used SUVs, sedans, crossovers, pickup trucks, and more.

You can easily estimate which car you can afford by using the simple calculator. It takes inputs such as your credit score, the initial down payment you can afford to make, and how much you can afford to pay in monthly payments (including interest).

You can also see if you prequalify for financing.

CarMax Auto Finance is a tool offered by CarMax that allows you to manage and schedule monthly payments and get billing reminders.

If you want to sell your car, you can get an offer and leave with cash in hand immediately. The offer is valid for seven days, so you have a week to compare your options and decide on whether you want to go with that offer or another one.

You don’t have to buy or trade in a car at CarMax to sell your car, although you can certainly trade in your car for another one if you are interested in upgrading.

You can get an offer online. However, you will have to bring your car to a dealership in person for inspection, to ensure that the car’s condition matches the state you said it was in, for the offer to be valid.

3. CarGurus

Next on my list of favorite sites to shop around for used cars is CarGurus. CarGurus features used cars of all makes and models in your area.

With CarGurus’ new program, you can now purchase cars entirely online from across the country, expanding your reach and allowing you to access the best deals.

You can have a car shipped to you, and there is a seven-day money-back guarantee window in case you are not happy with the car you got.

You can also opt for a certified pre-owned car, which has been inspected to ensure quality.

If you don’t want to pay for the entire car upfront, don’t worry. You can prequalify for financing to see if you are eligible for a loan.

Prequalifying takes just a few minutes and will not affect your credit score. CarGurus works with a network of lenders, such as Capital One and Global Lending Services, to offer prequalification and financing.

If you own a dealership, you can sign up as a dealer on CarGurus and sell your inventory.

4. TrueCar

TrueCar is a website where you can shop for used cars from over 15,000 dealers. On the homepage, you can estimate your buying power by entering your down payment, credit score, and monthly payment into the calculator.

The calculation will be based on an estimated APR (Annual Percentage Rate), which will be based on your credit score. This APR will be shown to you, but keep in mind that APRs can vary depending on factors beyond your credit score alone.

You can also include a trade-in amount in the calculator if you want to trade in an old car.

If you want to sell your car, you can get an instant offer.

Members of the military can benefit from special incentives and discounts on TrueCar.

5. Autotrader

Autotrader is a marketplace where you can buy and sell cars. If you’re in search of a car, you can filter by make, model, and other details.

You can also calculate the price range you can afford to buy a car in by entering details such as your monthly payment and down payment.

If you want to sell a car, you can get an instant offer and walk away with cash in hand. Alternatively, you can trade in your existing car for a new one, with the value of your old car going towards the buying price.

Another option is selling the car yourself, directly to Autotrader buyers. The advantage of going down this route is that you have more control over the price.

However, Autotrader does charge you for placing an ad on the site. It costs $49/month for the ad (price subject to change), and it includes listings on Kelley Blue Book as well.

You also get a free vehicle history report with your listing.

However, the $49/month fee is not all inclusive. Even if you sell directly to a buyer, Autotrader takes a commission, which can be as low as one percent.

All buyers on Autotrader are verified. Their IDs are scanned to confirm their identities to help reduce fraud.

6. Kelley Blue Book

Kelley Blue Book is one of the most well-known car valuation websites. It allows you to check the estimated value of a car, including used cars, based on make, model, mileage, and other details.

However, a lot of people don’t know that it also allows private sellers to sell their used cars to buyers. It has useful filtering tools for buyers, such as the ability to filter by radius, drive, make, model, year, and other filters.

Furthermore, it has a helpful comparison tool that allows buyers to compare two cars.

There are two ways to sell a car on Kelley Blue Book. One option is to sell it to dealers.

If you sell it to a participating dealership, you can get an instant offer on your car. You can then get hard cash or trade your car in for a better one.

Alternatively, you can sell on Kelley Blue Book’s private seller exchange. You can run an ad and reach verified buyers.

7. eBay Motors

Did you know that eBay has an entire section dedicated to vehicles and vehicle parts/accessories?

eBay motors is a great place to find remarkable discounts on used cars, trucks, or motorcycles. It’s also one of the best places to shop if you are looking for collector cars, antiques, exotic vehicles, and even RVs or boats.

Furthermore, you can buy vehicle accessories at excellent prices.

Other than that, it has all of the great stuff eBay usually has to offer. For the best prices, check items that are marked as “or best offer.”

That indicates that the seller is willing to accept a lower offer than the listed price if you are ready to make an immediate sale. If a listing has been sitting for quite a while without any buyer, the seller may very well be willing to accept a lower offer in exchange for quick, hard cash.

However, make sure to check what kind of shipping is offered. Many buyers only offer local pickup.

That way, they can release the vehicle once you give them the cash. It’s also advantageous to you, because you get a chance to inspect the vehicle and perhaps even take it for a test drive (with the owner’s permission) to ensure you are getting what you are paying for.

However, some buyers may offer national shipping. It may come with a fee, but expanding your vehicle search nationally can also allow you to get a better price on your dream vehicle.

eBay Motors has tons of helpful filters. For example, you can filter by year, vehicle type, number of previous owners, body type, and more.

8. Carvana

Carvana is a website where you can find used cars for sale. These cars can be delivered straight to your home, saving you the hassle of finding a dealership in your area.

After all, if you don’t have a car, it might be a bit of a challenge getting to the dealership!

Home deliveries take as little as three days.

All cars are inspected by technicians, but if you don’t like the vehicle after it was delivered to you, you are protected by the seven-day money-back guarantee.

Alternatively, you can opt for pickup at a local Carvana “vending machine.” There are 33 of these vending machines located across the nation.

And yes, these are actual vending machines, just for cars!

The vending machines are large, stacked parking lots of cars.

Once you purchase a car online, you can pick it up at a vending machine. You will get a special token to insert into the machine and watch the automated system take out the car for you.

You can then take possession of the car. Remember, you have seven days to test it out, as you will still be protected by the seven-day money-back guarantee, even if you opt to pick up your vehicle from a vending machine.

You can see a short video demonstrating how these vending machines work here.

Financing is available. You can check if you prequalify in just a few minutes, with no impact on your credit score.

Do you want to sell or trade in your car? You can get an offer within minutes.

9. AutoTempest

Finally, let’s finish things off with AutoTempest as a kind of bonus. AutoTempest doesn’t sell cars itself but rather aggregates information from several used car sites.

It includes results from eBay Motors, Autotrader, TrueCar, Carvana, Cars.com, and other sites we did not mention in this article, like Hemmings.

Your dream car might not be available on a specific site. While you can always search through several sites one after the other, it is a lot more convenient and efficient to use AutoTempest to search through several sites at once.

You can then head to the respective site to purchase the car there directly.

Conclusion

If you’re interested in selling a car, any of the options above are great. Just know what kind of selling experience you want.

eBay Motors, for example, only allows you to sell to buyers directly. Other sites may also offer the option to get an instant cash offer for your car by selling to a dealership.

However, the cash offer might not be to your liking. It’s a good idea to submit your car for sale to several of these sites and compare the offers you get.

If you want to buy a car, all of these sites are awesome as well. Always check a car’s history report and make sure it has been inspected recently before buying it.

Have you ever come across a juicy headline story but when you click on it you cannot access the full details because you have not subscribed to the host website? In such a case, what you are encountering is a paywall.

A paywall is a system that prohibits users from accessing specific web content. The system is often used to ensure that only those who pay or subscribe to a service have access to the content on the page.

However, sometimes you just want to get information about a particular story rather than having to subscribe to a service that you will hardly ever use again. In such a situation, you may end up frustrated.

But the good news is that certain websites allow you to bypass paywalls and gain access to whatever information you are after.

Read on.

Best Paywall Bypass Websites

1. Incoggo

Incoggo is one of the best websites for you to visit if you want to find a solution to paywalls. One of the best things about it is that it is available completely free of charge.

To use it, you’ll need to visit the main website, download the software, and install it on your device. Keep in mind that it is available for Mac devices.

There is also a newly developed software for Windows systems but it is currently provided on a limited basis. Once you install the software, it will start blocking ads automatically.

That means you won’t have to worry about pop-up ads that often cause distraction and consume data. Secondly, the software blocks paywalls so you can read through articles without having to sign up or pay.

Another impressive thing about Incoggo is that it blocks malware so you won’t have to worry about your device getting corrupted by viruses and other malicious software. As if that is not enough, it prevents trackers from spying on your online activity.

Incoggo is a universal blocker meaning it works seamlessly on any browser. Additionally, it works with apps like Slack, Spotify, Mail, and Discord.

2. Remove Paywall

Remove Paywall is another excellent website you can turn to when you need to bypass paywalls. It is a web-based solution meaning you’ll not have to download any other software.

Another impressive thing about this website is that its online search tool is available completely free of charge. You can use it to search for as many articles as you like without having to deal with any restrictions.

To use it, copy the URL of the web page with the paywall, and then paste it into the search box on the website. Hit the enter button and allow the website to scan through the internet for archived versions of the article.

Archived articles are often hosted on independent websites and that means the article you are reading will be the version that is stored on the third-party website and not the primary source.

There is also a Chrome extension version of this tool which makes it even more convenient. Once you install the extension, all you have to do is visit the page with the paywall and it will be removed automatically.

It is important to note that you’ll need to pay a one-time fee to access the Chrome extension version.

3. PayWall Blocker

PayWall Blocker is a web extension you can install on your browser and start reading articles that would otherwise be inaccessible. It is compatible with a variety of modern browsers including Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Edge, and Opera Mini.

This extension works in a unique way because instead of getting rid of the paywall itself, it hides the overview articles first. But when you move the cursor over the article for a second time, everything will be visible just like on a normal web page.

PayWall Blocker comes in a small file size and installs in a few seconds. Additionally, it utilizes a fraction of the system’s resources which is why you can be sure to continue enjoying fast loading speeds.

This extension is ideal for opening magazines, newspapers, and news websites. It is available free of charge so you can download and start using it immediately.

4. Wayback Machine

Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine is a digital archive that searches through the internet and creates copies of pages on websites. It was created in 1996 but was made available for public use in 2001.

Since then, it has become a reliable resource for individuals who are looking for information that was once available on the World Wide Web. This site can be a good place to go when you have difficulty getting through paywalls.

It creates copies of web pages without retaining the paywalls. That means if you enter the URL of the page you are trying to access, chances are that you will get a copy of it on the Wayback Machine.

This website has a simple interface making it easy for just about anyone to navigate. The site also provides the date and time of the exact moment that it created the copy of the original web page.

Wayback Machine displays the content of the paywalled page precisely as it appeared on the original site. It does not provide a copy of every web page on the internet but it has one of the largest databases so it’s worth giving it a shot.

Explore the best alternatives to Wayback Machine here.

5. Bypass Paywalls

Bypass Paywalls is the next solution you should turn to when you need to read articles that are behind paywalls. It is a lightweight extension for Chrome and Edge browsers.

The best thing about it is that it automatically removes soft paywalls. That means all you have to do is install the extension and then let it do the rest.

One of the reasons that makes it an effective solution is that it works in an almost similar manner as the Google search tool. Keep in mind that a lot of websites allow Google search bots to access all the content available to ensure proper ranking.

Bypass Paywalls mimics Google search bots and then presents you with the full version of the pages that would otherwise require you to sign up or pay before access.

The extension features a reader mode that strips out all the overlapping content on a page and leaves you with a clean copy so that you can enjoy reading without any distractions.

The extension is available to download, install, and use completely free of charge.

6. Unpaywall

A visit to the official Unpaywall website will reveal a handy extension that is likely to help you overcome the difficulty of getting through paywalls. The extension comes in a small file that downloads and installs fast.

What’s more, the extension works in the background while also utilizing a fraction of your system’s resources and that means you won’t even notice a change in loading speeds.

Unlike most solutions on this list, Unpaywall mainly focuses on availing scholarly content to its users. A notable thing to keep in mind is that it is a non-profit entity which is why you can expect to access the content you need without paying anything.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Unpaywall is an open-source software meaning that anyone with some programming understanding can access the source code and make slight adjustments to suit their specific needs.

Unlike some paywall bypass solutions, Unpaywall redirects users to legal articles that are hosted on public or governmental websites. That means the extension does not necessarily grant you access to the original web page.

Instead, it looks for other websites with the same information but without the paywall.

7. The Free Internet Plugin

The Free Internet Plugin is a plugin specially designed to work on Chrome browsers. It is a free and open source software so anyone can access its source code and make adjustments or make suggestions for improvement.

The developers behind this plugin believe that the internet should be a space where people go to get free information. Accordingly, they believe that paywalls interrupt the smooth flow of information and force users to subscribe or pay for things that should be readily available.

Instead of removing paywalls from websites, the tool filters your searches in such a way that all the results will be sites without paywalls. That means any site that has a paywall will not appear on your search results.

Keep in mind that sometimes you waste a lot of time opening websites only to end up getting frustrated because you cannot read through the entire page. This plugin is quite convenient because once you install it you do not have to do anything else.

Just search for whatever you want and you’ll get results that grant access to all content on the site.

8. AdBlock with Link Intelligence

Adblock with Link Intelligence is another impressive solution to use when dealing with paywall websites. It is another free and open-source extension so you don’t have to worry about spending money to enjoy its benefits.

Instead, all you have to do is download and install it on your Chrome browser. Once activated, it will put a red line under any website that has a paywall.

You can then hover your cursor over the website to find more information regarding the kind of paywall it has. For instance, you can get to know if the website has an aggressive or metered paywall before you click on it.

This extension is not limited to paywalls. Instead, it also underlines sites that have things like clickbait or potentially dangerous malware.

Another advantage of using this extension is that it blocks all forms of adverts. What’s more, it prevents trackers from monitoring or gathering information about your online activity.

9. 12ft Ladder

12 Foot Ladder is another website you can visit when you need to bypass a paywall. The website works seamlessly on almost all modern browsers.

To get rid of a paywall, copy the URL of the page you want to access and then paste it into the search box in 12ft Ladder. Hit the enter button and watch as the site does its magic.

Alternatively, you can use this technique to get rid of the paywall – https://12ft.io/<URL>. This website is accessible to people from all over the world.

It is also available to use free of charge. It works by accessing cached copies of web pages from Google.

This site’s developer believes that the internet should be a place where people access free information without having to sign up for services that they are probably never going to use.

Find out the best alternatives to 12 Foot Ladder here.

10. Readium

Next up on this list of the best paywall bypass websites is Readium. It is an extension that allows you to gain access to articles that would otherwise require you to sign up or pay a fee.

It is popularly used to gain access to sites such as The New York Times, Business Insider, Medium, Bloomberg, and Toward Data Science. To start using this tool, you’ll need to visit the main website and locate the Readium button.

Once you find it, click and hold it, and then drag it to your bookmarks section and drop it. After you do that, you’ll be ready to start using it since you can simply go to the website with the paywall and open the page you wish to read.

If the page does not open automatically, click on the Readium bookmarklet and it will open the content automatically. This is another open-source solution to bypassing paywalls so you can modify it or make suggestions on how it can be improved.

It is also available completely free of charge and is easy to use.

11. Postlight Reader

Postlight Reader is an extension that is designed to clear the clutter on any website. Luckily, it also considers soft paywalls as clutter and for that reason, you are likely to get through and read articles that would otherwise be inaccessible.

This extension was primarily designed to support Google Chrome but today it works seamlessly with Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox. Once you download and install it on your browser, all you have to do is activate it whenever you run into a site with a paywall.

The extension removes pop-up ads that may end up causing distractions while you are reading. It also allows you to adjust the fonts and sizes of texts on any page.

As if that wasn’t enough, you can toggle between light and dark modes depending on your preference. Postlight Reader is available to install and use completely free of charge.

12. uBlock Origin

uBlock Origin is another browser extension that is compatible with Chrome and Firefox and does an exceptional job of bypassing paywalls. It is a CPU and memory-efficient wide-spectrum content blocker.

Once you install it on your browser, you can be sure to enjoy smooth access to web pages that utilize soft paywalls. Additionally, it helps in blocking advertisements that may end up causing distractions.

uBlock Origin is also known for preventing trackers from collecting your online data. It can also help block coin miners, anti-blockers, and malware sites.

This extension is unique because it has a long list of things you can block or unblock by simply clicking on a button. It is available to use free of charge.

13. ChatGPT

Another way for you to get around paywalls is by signing up for a ChatGPT account and then using it to get the information you need.

Once you have an account, all you have to do is copy the URL of the article you are trying to access, paste it into ChatGPT, and ask it to summarize the article.

After a short moment, you will see a summarized version of the article that you could not access on the original site. In case you want to know more, simply ask for more details and the chatbot will find more information about the article.

Check out the best alternatives to ChatGPT in this post.

14. Reader Mode

Reader Mode is a Chrome extension that is meant to make your online reading experience pleasant. It works by removing clutter including things like paywalls, ads, and other forms of distractions.

With this extension, not only do you get rid of paywalls, but you also get to annotate pages, turn text into speech, and generate citations based on the article you are reading.

The extension has a free version with limited features and functionality. In case you want to unlock its full potential, you’ll have to subscribe to one of its premium versions.

Wrapping Up

While it may not be possible to bypass hard paywalls, the websites and tools detailed above can be an excellent way for you to bypass soft paywalls.

Options such as Incoggo and Remove Paywall are quite effective and should work on a majority of websites.

Extensions such as Postlight Reader and Readium not only help get rid of paywalls but also include features such as font adjustments and ad blocking which results in a pleasant reading experience.

Etsy has always been a favorite of artisans and designers selling art and handmade crafts. However, over the past few years, many sellers have been starting to look for alternatives.

Why is that? There are a number of reasons Etsy sellers may want to expand beyond the Etsy platform.

For one, the competition has become very fierce. In the past, when there were fewer sellers on Etsy, it was a lot easier for buyers to find you; now, it’s getting harder.

Not only that, but a lot of sellers on Etsy are no longer sellers like you — people creating their own, handcrafted art, clothes, textiles, and other crafts made at home. Instead, a lot more sellers have been importing products and reselling them — reselling is allowed in the vintage and crafts categories on Etsy.

The problem is that buyers don’t really know the difference between items made personally by the seller vs items that were resold. That makes it harder for you to compete, despite your originality and hard work.

Finally, you might simply want to expand your operations. By selling on more platforms, you can reach more people.

And, other platforms give you more marketing tools and opportunities than Etsy, allowing you to broaden your audience.

Whether you have been looking for an Etsy alternative for one of the above reasons or any other reason, this article is for you. I will go over the top 12 sites like Etsy for selling handcrafted items online.

If you are a buyer, you can also check these sites out and buy handcrafted products on them.

Let’s get into it!

The 12 Best Sites Like Etsy

1. Amazon Handmade

Not everyone knows about this, but Amazon has a program called Amazon Handmade. Only artisans are allowed to join this program — you need to get approved to sell there.

If you do get approved to join the artisan program, Amazon will waive the Professional selling fee.

You will then get a custom URL for your shop, so you can promote your shop on your social media profiles, on your website, or in your email newsletters.

It is entirely free to join the program, start an online shop, and sell products. However, you will have to pay 15 percent of each sale to Amazon as a commission.

That’s higher than Etsy’s standard commission (5 percent + transaction fees), so you might have to price your products just a bit higher to make the same margins. (There is also a minimum commission of $1 — if the product you sell only costs $3, for example, the commission will be $1.)

However, since it’s free to create your store and list items, you won’t really lose — you can only gain.

In addition, while Etsy charges you a small listing fee for each listing you put up, Amazon Handmade does not — it is entirely free to create a listing.

If you already have a seller account on Amazon, you can’t sell in Handmade automatically. Instead, you need to apply as an artisan for a Handmade account as well.

That ensures the Handmade category is truly only open for artisans selling their crafts. It might take a while to get approved, however, depending on the application backlog.

One downside of Amazon Handmade is that it does not have as many categories as Etsy. Nevertheless, it still has a decent selection of categories.

2. Folksy

Folksy is a UK-based site for selling online crafts. Unlike Etsy, it does not allow reselling — so all sellers are artists selling their own crafts.

It also does not allow vintage sales.

While Folksy is a British site, it does get visitors from all over the world. Prices are in British Pounds.

A cool thing about Folksy is that it does not charge a commission on shipping. Etsy, on the other hand, started charging a five percent commission on shipping fees in 2018.

Your first three listings on Folksy are always free — you won’t have to pay anything for them. After that, however, you will be charged 15 pence per listing.

You can also sign up for Folksy Plus. Folksy Plus costs £5/month (see here for updated pricing data), but it allows you to create an unlimited number of listings, with no charge per listing.

Another advantage of Folksy Plus Is that you can feature three items (in random order) at the top of your store.

If you already have an Etsy store, choosing Folksy Plus will give you another benefit — you will be able to import products directly from Etsy into Folksy, saving you a lot of time and effort.

However, you will still have to pay a commission per sale, which is fixed at six percent + VAT.

3. Aftcra

Aftcra is a good alternative to Etsy if you’re based in the US. It is open only to American artisans and buyers.

Unlike Etsy, it has zero listing fees; you will never have to pay to put up your listings!

Aftcra is very clear about what they allow you to sell on the platform — only handcrafted items that you or your small team personally handcraft in the USA.

Unlike Etsy, they don’t allow vintage sales, and they don’t allow reselling. Not only do you need to make the product yourself, but you need to make it in the US — if you imported the product, you can’t sell it.

While Etsy listings expire after four months, Aftcra listings expire after six months, and you can renew them for free once they do expire.

Although there are no listing fees, you do have to pay a seven percent commission + transaction fees on each sale, which is a bit higher than Etsy’s fees.

I like that Aftcra has an Etsy Importer tool, which allows you to import several Etsy listings to Aftcra at once, saving time.

4. Just Artisan

Just Artisan is a somewhat newer alternative to Etsy, but it seems promising, so I’d suggest checking it out.

It beta launched in the beginning of 2020, but it only officially launched in June 2020. At that point, it already had a few hundred sellers and a couple of thousand buyers.

According to founder Marcello De Lio in an interview about his project, Just Artisan made $15k in sales in December 2020, with very little advertising. However, they are now working on expanding their user base, using retargeting on Facebook and other marketing methods to reach new customers.

Unlike Etsy, Just Artisan does not allow any reselling, in any category. All products need to be made by you, the seller, or by a small team that includes you.

You can sell digital downloads on Just Artisan as well.

Just Artisan also allows you to set up a shop and list all your products for free, with no listing fees — unlike Etsy. You only have to pay when you make a sale.

However, commission fees are slightly higher than on Etsy, as you have to pay 7.5 percent per sale.

Just Artisan focuses on creating a community for artisans, not only a place where they can sell stuff online. Since it doesn’t cost anything to set up your online shop and post listings, it doesn’t hurt to try it out.

5. Goimagine

Goimagine is a pretty unique marketplace, as it donates 100 percent of its profits to charity! If you want to sell your handmade products, earn money, and make a difference in the world, why not sell on Goimagine?

Goimagine is very strict with its handmade selling guidelines. They only allow you to sell something you personally made yourself, or that you worked on with a small group of family members or a small team.

Also, you need to make all your products in the United States. You are not allowed to resell products or sell mass-produced products.

You do need to sign up for a monthly plan to sell on Goimagine, but it is not very expensive. Plans start at just $2.50/month for up to 25 active listings and go up to $10/month for up to 1,000 listings (see updated prices here).

Also, there are no listing fees — you only need to pay the monthly fee — and commission fees start at 5 percent and go down to 3.5 percent per sale, depending on your plan.

It might actually turn out to be cheaper than Etsy, depending on how many listings you have and how many sales you make per month.

Most importantly, however, you will be supporting children in need and helping make the world a better place. All of those commission fees go to charity!

In addition to commission fees, you will have to pay payment processor fees.

One thing to know about Goimagine is that you need to apply for a seller’s account. It will take up to 48 hours for Goimagine to review and approve your account — but that also means the platform is for a select group of real artisans, not resellers.

6. ArtFire

ArtFire has been around since 2008, so it isn’t new. It has thousands of shop owners and a large customer base (though nowhere near the size of Etsy).

Like Etsy, ArtFire does allow you to sell vintage and craft supplies in addition to handmade goods.

ArtFire is an interesting alternative to Etsy because you need to sign up for a monthly plan to sell products on the marketplace. However, depending on how many listings you create, it can come out cheaper than Etsy.

The Standard Shop plan costs $9.99/month, but ArtFire still charges a listing fee of $0.23 per listing, which is more than what Etsy charges.

However, the Popular Shop plan costs $29.99/month, and it allows you to create up to 1,000 active listings without any listing fees (see here for updated pricing).

Initially, it would cost less to start on ArtFire with that many listings, compared to paying $200 to list 1,000 items on Etsy.

However, in the long run, I’m not sure ArtFire would be cheaper than Etsy. First, those 1,000 listings refer to active listings, not how many new listings you can add per month.

Also, the commission fees per sale are much higher than Etsy’s. ArtFire charges between 12.75 percent and 14.75 percent, depending on your plan.

One advantage ArtFire does have over Etsy is that it has a CSV importer tool, allowing you to import products in bulk, while Etsy does not currently offer such a tool.

Another possible advantage of ArtFire is that it seems to offer better support for sellers, with a US-based team ready to chat via email or instant messaging.

All in all, however, I’d say that ArtFire might be a good alternative if you are trying to get on as many platforms as possible or if your Etsy account was suspended. I’d suggest trying it out for a month or two to see if you get any traffic and sales.

7. eBay

eBay isn’t limited specifically to artisans or handcrafted items, as you can sell really anything on eBay, barring a few prohibited categories. Nevertheless, I highly recommend considering it as an alternative to Etsy, even for selling handmade crafts.

First, it is much, much larger than Etsy. It is the second-largest online marketplace in the US (after Amazon, of course), allowing you to reach a much larger audience. There are plenty of people who are looking for handcrafted items online, and not everyone has heard of Etsy.

Many online consumers only know about Amazon and eBay and search for handcrafted items on those platforms.

In fact, if you are simply looking for an Etsy alternative to expand your reach on more than one platform, I’d say that eBay is one of the best options available to you. It simply has much more traffic than almost any other alternative you might find.

In addition, it is free to get started! eBay gives you a certain number of free listings per month, with no listing fees, so it definitely does not hurt to set up an eBay store and add a few items.

You will only have to pay when you make a sale.

In fact, even without a premium store package, you will get 200-250 free listings a month. You can check here for more information on free listings.

Although eBay is a general eCommerce store, it has many categories to choose from, including those that are specific to handcrafted items, jewelry, and so on. For example, you might list your item in the Handcrafted & Finished Pieces category.

8. indieCart

indieCart is one of the few Etsy alternatives that does not charge listing fees or commissions per sale. However, they do charge a $7.50/monthly fee to set up a store and sell on the platform, but there are no fees other than that (except transaction fees that PayPal charges).

indieCart has been around for a long time, but it’s hard to say just how popular it is. According to the ticker at the bottom of the website, there are over 16,000 registered shoppers on indieCart, but that doesn’t necessarily mean all of them are active shoppers.

However, indieCart has some other unique features that make it a worthwhile alternative to Etsy:

  • Choose the sale type (reserve with deposit, auction, regular sale, etc.)
  • Select the currency to sell in (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.)
  • Create your own categories and subcategories
  • List an unlimited number of products for free
  • Blacklist shoppers you don’t want to sell to
  • Integrate with Facebook to add your products to your page
  • Schedule products to be in stock at a specific date (these are showcased in a calendar for buyers to see)

If you don’t mind the $7.50/month fee, I’d say try indieCart out for a month to see if you get any sales. You can always cancel later.

9. Madeit

Madeit, or Made It, is a fantastic Etsy alternative for Australian-based sellers. You need to live in Australia to sell on Madeit, so it’s awesome if you want to reach Australian buyers.

How popular is Madeit? According to its website, it has:

  • 80,000 unique visitors each month
  • 840,000 total pageviews a month
  • 120,000 registered users

You can actually also sell craft supplies on Madeit, but all finished products must be handmade, so you won’t need to compete with sellers importing items from other countries.

Unlike Etsy, Madeit does not charge any commissions, nor do they charge any listing fees. Instead, they have set pricing plans, which are paid quarterly or yearly, with each plan allowing you to post a certain number of active listings.

Prices start at just $4/month for 16 active listings. Always look at the pricing page for updated information.

10. iCraft Gifts

iCraft Gifts, or simply iCraft, has been around for over a decade. Its mission is to help handmade sellers and artisans excel.

For that reason, they don’t allow resellers to sell on the site; you can only sell handmade products you actually made yourself. In addition, they don’t charge you any listing fees, unlike Etsy, or let your listings expire. Instead, you pay a monthly fee for an unlimited number of new listings.

What I didn’t like was that in addition to the monthly fee, there is also a $25 one-time registration fee. I feel like that makes it harder to try iCraft out for a single month to see how much traffic you get as a seller.

According to iCraft’s website, however, it got over 1.3 million unique visitors in the past six months, with an average of five page visits per session.

Nevertheless, with plans starting at just $10/month, it might be worth it — check this page for updated pricing.

Also, you get a free .store domain when you create an account, and you can get 50 percent off a .com domain, so that might help offset the price of the registration fee.

11. Felt

I already mentioned some good Etsy alternatives for UK and Australian sellers, so how about a New Zealand one? Felt is a great platform for New Zealand sellers who want to sell their own crafts, jewelry, and fabric.

The team at Felt is based in Christchurch, and pricing is similar to Etsy, with no monthly fees.

Although people can buy products from anywhere in the world, most of the customer base seems to be in New Zealand, and only New Zealand sellers can use it, helping you narrow down the competition (compared to Etsy).

12. Shopify

Finally, I’m going to make a recommendation: Consider setting up your own Shopify store. Yes, Shopify is not exactly like Etsy, as you will have to drive your own traffic instead of being able to sell on an existing marketplace with an existing customer base.

Nevertheless, the reality is that there are not a lot of sites that cater exclusively to artisans and also get a lot of traffic. Some Etsy alternatives are wonderful and also free to use, but that doesn’t mean you’ll get a lot of sales.

Shopify allows you to sell your handcrafted items on your own terms. You won’t have to deal with competition from other sellers — your site will be for you, and for you only.

You also won’t have to deal with listing fees, commissions, shipping commissions, and other problems that Etsy has. It also allows you to market your products and reach a lot more people.

Etsy just doesn’t give you the tools that are accessible with a Shopify store, such as email marketing.

Wrapping It Up: What Is The Best Etsy Alternative?

Amazon Handmade is the best Etsy alternative, without a doubt. Sure, it charges a bit more per sale than other Etsy alternatives, but there really isn’t another handcraft marketplace that gets nearly as much traffic as Amazon or Etsy.

I’d also suggest setting up stores on marketplaces that do not charge monthly fees or listing fees — you have a few to choose from in this article (Just Artisan and Aftcra). While you might not get any traffic, you have nothing to lose, as you only pay once you make a sale.

Dynamic websites increase engagement and offer a more personalized experience to users, improving the user experience and increasing user retention.

In this article, I will give you 10 examples of dynamic websites and explain what makes each one dynamic.

To start, though, I will discuss what dynamic websites are, what sets them apart from static websites, and why you might want to build a dynamic website.

The short version: Dynamic websites generate a new file and webpage for each visitor, based on dynamic rules and factors. The top examples of dynamic sites include Amazon, Google, YouTube, Netflix, and AccuWeather. However, these websites are not suitable for all situations; sometimes, static websites are better.

Let’s read on to learn more.

Understanding Dynamic Websites

Dynamic websites are websites that don’t display the same content to everyone. Instead, they display different content depending on who is browsing the website and depending on other factors such as the geographical location of the user.

That means that if you and your friend browse the same dynamic website, you may see two very different things. You may see different:

  • Content
  • Recommendations
  • Languages
  • Currencies

Static vs Dynamic Websites

A static website displays mostly the same information to everyone who visits it. A good example would be a blog.

When you land on most blogs, you will see the same content as everyone else. The most recently published blog post will appear first on the feed, and the content in that blog post will be the same as what your friend sees.

This is called a static website. Most websites are static websites and show the same content – or at least the same core content – to everyone.

Landing pages are generally static as well. Landing pages may be sales pages promoting a specific product, and the elements – including the sales video, sales pitch, and the CTA button – will largely be the same for all visitors.

Dynamic vs Interactive/Engaging Websites

Just because a website isn’t dynamic, that doesn’t mean it isn’t engaging or interactive. The two are not the same thing – that is a common misconception.

A static website can be interactive and engaging. You can have call-to-action buttons, pop-ups, flashing elements, automatically playing slides or videos, and a lot more!

However, if the core content is the same, I would still personally consider it a static website.

Just because it shows different ads to different people, for example, doesn’t mean it is a dynamic website by definition.

When Should You Create a Dynamic Website?

Dynamic websites are best for certain kinds of sites that require more personalization than standard websites.

A blog, landing page, or portfolio website doesn’t really need to be dynamic. You just need to make sure that it is engaging and interactive.

You should also ensure that it is easy to navigate, provides a smooth user experience, and is optimized for mobile devices.

However, if you have an ecommerce website, for example, you could benefit from making it dynamic.

It is possible to have a static ecommerce website that displays the same products to everyone. If you have a small ecommerce store with a limited range of products, this is likely the kind of website you have.

The larger and more complex your site gets, though, the more you would benefit from offering a dynamic experience. By showing people products that are most suited to them, you will increase your sales rate and increase your bottom line.

You can do that by displaying products based on location or by providing product recommendations based on previous purchases or browsing history.

Other types of sites that you might want to make dynamic include:

  • Sites that stream music, play movies, or offer some other kind of streaming on demand
  • Educational sites
  • Social media platforms
  • Forums

Benefits and Drawbacks of Dynamic Sites

There are many benefits of dynamic sites. On the one hand, by offering a more personalized user experience, you can increase your bottom line, get more sales, improve customer retention rates, boost customer satisfaction, and a lot more.

For example, by showing customers products that are tailored to their interests, you are more likely to get them to buy a product. If you show them products they are not interested in, they are less likely to buy them.

If you provide an educational site or a site that streams some type of content, displaying personalized suggestions will cause users to spend more time on the site. If your business model relies on advertising, this will increase your revenue.

If it relies on monthly membership subscriptions, you will increase customer retention. If people are enjoying their time on your site or app, they will be less likely to cancel their subscriptions, because they will be getting more value out of it.

On the other hand, dynamic sites are also a lot more expensive to build. A static site pulls the same HTML file from the server and displays it to every visitor.

This means that it requires less coding and fewer resources.

Meanwhile, dynamic sites require more complicated programming on the back end. You can’t have a single HTML file to show everyone.

Instead, you need complex coding and large databases of different objects, products, data, etc. to show different people. You also need complex algorithms that decide which objects are shown to which people.

With dynamic sites, a new webpage is generated each time, based on dynamic rules that determine which data or items from the database will be shown. That is what allows different products or items to be displayed to different people.

Not only does it cost a lot more to build, but it also requires a lot more resources to maintain. You need a larger and more skilled team and/or more expensive tools or plugins.

Therefore, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons of building a dynamic website. Most small websites don’t need to be dynamic – it’s an unnecessary expenditure and too much infrastructure to maintain, without enough benefit to justify it.

As you will see in this list, most of the top dynamic website examples are pretty big names, such as Amazon, YouTube, and Google. These websites have the resources to be dynamic.

Even without being a full-fledged dynamic site, though, you can code your site with Java or another programming language to display different information to different people.

For example, you can set up dynamic rules (such as if, if else, and else if rules) to determine which price is displayed in the shopping cart, based on factors such as whether the customer is a premium customer or has bought a certain amount of items to qualify for a discount.

With that introduction, let’s get into things.

Dynamic Website Examples [Top 10 Examples]

1. Amazon

Amazon is perhaps one of the best and most well-known examples of dynamic websites.

When you visit Amazon, you won’t see the same products on the homepage as others. Everyone will get tailored recommendations based on factors such as what they have previously purchased or browsed on the site.

As you can see in the following screenshot, since I showed an interest in martial arts products, I am now being shown products such as boxing gloves and martial art uniforms. I also bought some biker products, which is why I am being shown biker gloves, helmets, shin pads, and motorcycle wheel locks.

Even if you never bought anything on Amazon or used it before, you will get recommendations based on your location – for example, if you are not in the US, you will be shown products that ship to your country.

Check Out:

2. Twitter

Twitter (now rebranded as “X” by Elon Musk) is another great example of a dynamic website. When you browse Twitter, you will not see the same tweets that others see.

Here are some of the things that determine what you will see:

  • People you follow: You may be following different people and thus see different posts than your friend.
  • Your location: Twitter will show you trending topics in your country, which may be entirely different from the trending topics in another country.
  • Your previous browsing history and activity: You will see trending posts about hashtags and topics you have previously shown interest in.

There are likely many other factors that play a role in Twitter’s algorithms, and they are beyond the scope of this article.

This brings us to another topic, which is the idea of bias and how it plays a role on social media (or how social media affects it).

You are likely to interact with accounts and posts that you are politically aligned with – for example, if you interact with conservative posts, Twitter will show you posts from conservative politicians and thinkers.

This means you are less likely to see ideas from people with opposing viewpoints.

However, that is a topic for another day – let’s not go too far off on a tangent.

3. Google

Google is dynamic in many ways.

First of all, it provides personalized results in the search results, based on factors such as time and location.

If you ever traveled to another country or even another city, you may have noticed that you see different results based on your location.

For example, if you travel to France, and you search for a specific product, you will see results from French ecommerce stores. Google does this for convenience – consumers in France can purchase from those websites easily, as they ship locally without extra fees.

It’s not limited to products. Let’s say you search for the answer to a legal question.

If you are in the US, you will be shown results from US-based sites that cover US law. Meanwhile, if you are in France, you will likely see results that talk about French law, which may differ greatly from US law.

When it comes to local searches, things get even more granular. Depending on where you are in a city (Brooklyn vs Manhattan, for example), you may see different Google My Business profiles show up at the top of the search results.

When you start typing a search phrase into Google, you may notice that Google has auto-complete suggestions to help you finish your search.

For example, let’s say you start typing “how to learn coding.” Google may give you several suggestions:

  • How to learn coding Java
  • How to learn coding Python
  • How to learn coding for free
  • How to learn coding with no experience
  • How to learn coding online

These suggestions are not the same for everyone. Rather, they are dynamically generated and based on your previous search history.

If you previously expressed an interest in Java, Google may suggest the first of the options I mentioned above. If you were more interested in Python, it might suggest the second.

4. YouTube

YouTube will display videos based on your previously expressed interests, as well as other factors such as your location.

The videos displayed on YouTube, both on your homepage and in your suggested video feed when watching a video, will depend on the videos you already watched, topics you searched for, and channels you subscribed to.

Even if you log onto YouTube from a new computer, in incognito mode, you will likely see videos related to your location. For example, in the US, you might see videos that cover US news.

Not only that, but the ads you see will also vary based on your interests, location, and language.

Let’s say you watch a music video in Spanish – you may see an ad in Spanish. Or, if you travel to Mexico, you will notice that you suddenly start seeing ads in Spanish.

YouTube is an excellent example of a dynamic website, because no two people will get the same recommendations.

Explore:

5. Netflix

Netflix is another good example of a dynamic website.

First of all, the films, movies, and series available will depend on regional restrictions. So, you might see certain films that are not available in another country due to licensing agreements.

Even more than that, however, Netflix will display different recommendations based on what you previously watched.

For example, if you always watch sitcoms, Netflix will recommend sitcoms. If you are a horror fan and love watching horror movies, Netflix will start recommending horror films.

That is why Netflix lets you set up different profiles on one account – it’s so different people can get their own personalized suggestions and keep track of their viewing history.

6. Booking.com

Booking.com is a hotel and lodging reservation site. You can book hotels, apartments, and more.

Although it’s mostly known for accommodation, you can also book flights and other travel necessities, such as tours.

Booking.com is a dynamic website, because it shows different information to different people.

Depending on your location, you will notice the currency and even language changing automatically.

You can always change the currency or language, but Booking automatically detects your location and displays the most relevant currency or language accordingly.

You may also get your recommendations based on the hotels you booked on the site. For example, if you book a hotel in London, Booking may suggest tours that show you around London.

Meanwhile, another person won’t necessarily see those recommendations.

Check Out:

7. Reddit

Reddit is a dynamic site, because the content you will see there will depend on numerous factors.

The first is the subreddits you have subscribed to and joined. You will get a personalized feed with content from subreddits you joined and people you follow.

You will also get recommended posts from subreddits that discuss topics similar to subreddits you have already joined. These posts are personalized for you.

Finally, you will see recommended posts based on your location. For example, if you live in New York, there is a good chance Reddit will recommend posts from the NYC subreddit.

Explore the best alternatives to Reddit here.

8. AccuWeather

AccuWeather is one of the most popular weather forecasting apps. When you visit AccuWeather, either the desktop site or the mobile app, it will show you a map and weather forecasts for your location.

It will also display your most recently viewed locations.

Furthermore, it will display weather-related news based on your location. If you are in the US, it will show you news updates about hurricanes, tornadoes, snowstorms, and other natural disasters in the US you should be aware of.

Meanwhile, if you are in another country, such news might not be relevant to you, so you will see local news instead.

Explore:

9. Uber Eats

Uber Eats is a website and application that allows you to order food, groceries, and medicine from restaurants, convenience stores, and pharmacies near you.

The restaurants you will see will depend on your location. Your distance from a specific restaurant will determine whether it will be shown on the app.

Even if it is shown, the order in which restaurants and eateries are shown will depend on your distance from them. The delivery cost for each restaurant will also update dynamically based on your location.

Not only that, but Uber Eats will recommend restaurants, eateries, and products/meals based on what you like.

Thus, Uber Eats is a very dynamic website. You can’t expect to see the same exact things as your friend in another neighborhood.

Find out more sites like Uber Eats in this post.

10. Spotify

Finally, we have Spotify. Spotify is a music streaming service that lets you stream music, podcasts, and more on demand.

Spotify will recommend albums and playlists based on your previous listening history. If you listen to a lot of rap, you can expect Spotify to recommend additional rap music.

Spotify also curates albums and “specialized mixes” for each user, which usually includes songs they have frequently listened to as well as similar songs from the same artists or genres. These specialized mixes are different for every person.

Since I enjoy listening to a lot of Latino music, Spotify always recommends new Cumbia, Salsa, Bachata, and Reggaeton albums and tracks, as you can see in the screenshot above. However, it may not recommend these genres to you.

Explore the best alternatives to Spotify here.

To Sum Up

There you have it – some of the best examples of dynamic websites. You probably use many of them on a regular basis, so you are familiar with dynamic websites – even if you didn’t know it.

As you can see, dynamic websites have a lot of benefits, as they provide a much better and personalized user experience. On the other hand, they are more expensive to build and usually require the collection of personal data to provide the personalized results.

Therefore, it’s important to weigh the pros and cons before deciding to create a personalized website.

Some songs have both lyrics and the audio (MP3) version. Examples include Cabin in the Woods, Follow Me Boys, Head Shoulders, Knees, and Toes, Grand Old Duke of York, I Points to Myself, and more.

Who said scout song lovers can’t go shopping? Scout Songs’ top right has a shop with links to different stores where you can find liquid vitamins, weight loss products, and cosmetics.

It doesn’t have fashion products, though. But if you’re looking for a fashion magazine featuring articles on fashion style, culture, weddings, and celebrities, you’ll like Tatler.

Tatler’s menu shows Style, Royals, Address Book, Bystander, Beauty, Schools, Travel, and Features. As you scroll the page, you will see the category on the left and the top stories in that category on the right.

11. City of Santa Barbara

Dreamweaver can create a government website; the City of Santa Barbara is a perfect example. Santa Barbara is a coastal city in Central California, and this website represents what this city is all about.

Whether going to Santa Barbara for a vacation or relocating for work, you need more information about the place.

This website offers valuable information on things to do, getting around, business, services, and government.

Finding specific information on this website is easy, thanks to the ‘How do I?’ section that lets you select different options, such as how to apply for a permit, business license, library card, etc. You can also check how to report a crime, building and zoning violations, graffiti, complaints, and so on.

There’s also a prominent search bar on the homepage where you can type anything and search it on the City of Santa Barbara website.

Want to know what’s happening in the city now? There’s a section that shows different events occurring at any given moment.

The Services and Resources section displays employment opportunities, library, maintenance requests, utilities, parking, waterfront, police, construction, and land development.

The top left has the university’s name and logo, and below it, there’s a menu showing Academics, About Stockton, Campus Life, Admissions, Scholarships & Aid, Arts & Culture, Athletics & Recreation, and Alumni & Friends.

Clicking on any of these items displays relevant information. There’s a big slideshow in the header with images and text portraying different aspects of the university, from sports to summer orientation for new students.

The right pane has valuable links for finding information for Alumni, Parents and Family, Community and Visitors, Students, Faculty, and Staff.

The Stockton University website has news and event sections, as well. Overall, the design is impressive and navigation is easy.

13. Fabletics

The online apparel store is among the best Dreamweaver websites, with many items for men and women. Finding an item on Fabletics is easy; type it in the search bar on the upper right.

A slider shows some of the shop’s best items with a ‘Shop Now’ button at the center, making shopping a piece of cake.

You can also move to the ‘trending now’ part to see the leggings, bras, shorts, tops, and pants everyone is currently wearing. Each category shows an image of the piece worn by a person. It also shows the pricing or discount, allowing you to choose easily.

The ‘Worth The Hype’ category displays their best-selling items, features, and images. You can shop on their sister brands by clicking the links for more variety.

What I like about Fabletics is their VIP membership program that lets you save 30% to 50% on different styles and access member-only exclusives. Of course, this program is flexible; you can skip any month and cancel anytime.

The other crucial feature is the ability to shop according to location. Fabletics has stores in the United States, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Sweden, and Denmark. You can select the store location at the top right or from the footer.

The footer has other sections, such as gift cards, member services, affiliate programs, sustainability, size guide, care guide, fabric guide, and more.

Considering using Real Geeks for your real estate website? Real Geeks is a real estate marketing solution that provides a variety of services to realtors.

If you are thinking about using its website building services, you might be interested in seeing some examples of websites built with Real Geeks.

Seeing such examples will give you a better idea of the quality of the website building service and whether it’s worth it over WordPress, Wix, or any other website builder.

Today, I will be showing you 8 Real Geeks website examples that you can take inspiration from.

The short version: Real Geeks websites tend to be clean and easy to navigate, but they have certain similarities that you should aim to overcome through customization. Continue reading to see the website examples, along with screenshots!

What Is Real Geeks?

First, though, I thought it’s important to better understand what Real Geeks is, the services it offers, and how it can help you build your business.

Real Geeks is a full-service real estate management solution. The company offers three main services to real estate agents in the United States who are looking to streamline their business, attract more clients, and get more sales.

Those services are:

  • Website building
  • CRM
  • Lead generation

Let’s discuss these various services before hopping into examples of websites built with Real Geeks.

Check Out:

Website Builder

The main focus of this article is Real Geeks’ website building service. Using Real Geeks, you can build an IDX website.

IDX stands for Internet Data Exchange, and an IDX website is one that real estate agents use to display properties from the MLS (Multiples Listing Services) database.

That allows them to reach buyers more easily, as buyers (and agents representing buyers) can browse these listings online at their leisure.

IDX websites by Real Geeks offer the following features:

  • Agent landing pages
  • Lead capture forms
  • Coming soon pages for upcoming listings
  • And more

IDX websites are updated every 15 minutes with data from the MLS database, so your potential buyers will always have access to the latest, most updated listings. The custom design editor makes it easy for agents to customize their websites, and there are a variety of widgets agents can add to their websites.

For example, the home valuation widget allows potential buyers to find out the prices of their homes by simply entering their addresses. This creates a lead for you to follow up on – even if the user doesn’t sign up, you will still get their address.

You can embed this widget in any page, but it is automatically embedded in market report pages, which are great for collecting leads.

Another widget is the search widget, which allows potential buyers to search for properties.

There are many templates to choose from when building your customizable site.

CRM

Real Geeks offers a CRM that allows you to track your leads and manage the clients you are talking to. This is, perhaps, one of the most powerful tools in the real estate marketing industry, and together with your Real Geeks website, it gives you a powerful system for following up with clients.

The app gives you real-time insights into your leads and allows you to filter leads based on location, properties viewed, and more.

However, what really makes the CRM powerful is the email and SMS followup system. First of all, agents are notified via email and SMS when new leads are collected.

In addition, there is an email drip system that allows you to follow up with leads automatically, organized by lead source. The SMS followup system is perhaps even more powerful, as a lot of people don’t open promotional emails due to having clogged inboxes.

The CRM also includes a built-in Facebook ad creation and marketing tool to optimize your social media campaigns.

Using the CRM, you can schedule appointments and get reminders. You can also quickly view the status of your leads, broken down by their position in your pipeline, at the top of your dashboard.

Geeks AI is a new tool integrated into the CRM that allows you to respond to potential leads at any time of the day or night. That allows them to get personalized responses without any immediate input from you.

While Geeks AI runs on automation, it also tells you when to jump in and provide human assistance. The AI tool allows you to increase your productivity drastically.

Lead Generation

Real Geeks offers a lead generation service called Real Leads. It includes Facebook and Google PPC management.

To attract targeted leads, Real Geeks will create a personalized campaign for your target area.

It also includes continuous optimization and integrates with other Real Geeks services.

Other Services

While those are the main services offered by Real Geeks, here are some other ones you might find useful:

  • Real Leads University is a series of short courses that show you how to optimize your lead generation campaigns and get more leads for your realtor business.
  • Brand Boost is a done-for-you advertising service in which Real Geeks will create customized ads for your company with your logo, branding, and more. It will run on ad networks like Google and Meta and retarget buyers from your database (or an in-market audience if you don’t have a database of leads to target).
  • There is a branded mobile app that you can set up for your clients. That allows them to search for properties from their phone, so they don’t try other solutions like Zillow when they want to search for properties on the go.

Real Geeks also integrates with various platforms, which allow you to manage leads collected from other sources. Check out the integrations here.

Real Geeks Website Examples [8 Best Picks]

Now that you have a better understanding of Real Geeks and what it is, let’s check out some examples of websites built using Real Geeks.

1. Chatman Realty Group

Chatman Realty Group serves the Greater Fort Worth area. As you can see on the homepage, it has many of the tools we already mentioned earlier in this article.

For example, there is a search bar smack in the middle of the front page, which allows people to search for properties they are interested in.

Users can enter an address or landmark to find nearby properties, along with information such as the number of bedrooms, the number of bathrooms, square feet, and price.

Potential leads could then request more information about a listing or save it to their list of favorites.

There is also a property valuation tool on the homepage (courtesy of Real Geeks), market reports, a book call option, and more.

Scrolling down, users get the option to search by area or property type, including:

  • Three-car garage
  • Four-bedroom
  • Homes without an HOA
  • Homes with a swimming pool
  • And more

Further down, there is a map so that users can see where homes are for sale on a map.

Overall, the website has a modern look, is easy to navigate, and has nice visual effects when scrolling.

Explore:

2. Kayla Campbell (Illustrated Properties)

Kayla Campbell is a real estate agent operating in Southeast Florida. She has chosen slightly different widgets for her homepage compared to the previous example.

There is a link to a property valuation tool, and there are also links for buyers and sellers who wish to sell their home. Under that, there is the search widget I talked about.

The search widget allows customers to select their county, city, price range, number of beds and baths, and property type. An advanced search option is also available.

Scrolling down, you will see the option to view properties by location and property type. There is also more information about the agent, including her affiliations and a short bio.

Overall, it’s a nice and simple website with plenty of white space, making it easy to navigate.

Also Read:

3. Dallas Homes Realty

Dallas Homes Realty is another website built with Real Geeks and owned by Todd Tramonte, a real estate agent in Fort Worth. Like many other realtors using Real Geeks, he includes a link to a home valuation tool on the homepage.

Remember, the home valuation tool is a powerful lead generation tool. Anyone who is interested in selling their home, regardless of which step of the process they are at, would be interested in learning more about how much they can get from their home if they make a successful sale.

As you can see, Todd has also placed a property search widget on the homepage, which is very similar to the one featured on the previous site.

Users can search by location, property type, and more or select “Advanced Search” if they want to conduct a more thorough search.

Check Out:

4. Marite Homes

The next Real Geeks website example on our list is Marite Homes, which operates in San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita Valley out of California.

Like all the other ones we’ve seen so far, it includes a link to a home valuation tool on the homepage, but it also includes a link to a map search and market reports.

There is also a property search widget, similar to the ones in the previous examples I showed you. As you may have noticed by now, the property search widget is customizable – it comes in different styles, and you can have different options for property type filters.

Another widget on the homepage, which we have seen before, is the map search widget, which highlights available properties right on a map.

Marite Homes has a sleek and clean website, with a white background that makes it easy to scroll and navigate. The font is clear and easy to read, and the top and bottom menus have all the links a potential lead might be interested in.

Explore:

5. Island Real Estate

Island Real Estate of Hilton Head is another good example. Unlike many of the other websites created with Real Geeks, Island Real estate chose not to put any links in the center of the homepage, but rather in the header menu at the top of the page.

That leaves the homepage with less clutter, featuring only the property search widget. However, that has a minimalist design as well, with fewer options than the ones featured in the above examples (an Advanced Search option is still available).

Another thing Island Real Estate does differently is it lists its latest listings in a news feed on the homepage. It also has a mortgage calculator widget that allows people to calculate their monthly mortgage payments by inputting the loan amount, interest rate, and number of years to pay off the mortgage.

ExploreBest Kajabi Website Examples

6. Brombacher and Co Properties

Brombacer and Co Properties, or Houston Neighborhoods, is a Houston-based real estate agency. The homepage features an animated splash page showing fancy real estate properties, while there is a property search widget that allows visitors to find their ideal real estate property for purchase.

Like many of the other sites we’ve seen, there is a home valuation tool, although I like the clean font and white background on Brombacher and Co Properties.

There is a slider at the bottom displaying testimonials from different customers. Overall, it’s an excellent example of the kind of clean website you can build with Real Geeks.

7. Coldwell Banker (Move Me 2 Boston)

MoveMe2Boston.com is another example of a Real Geeks website that I like. This website was actually created using Real Geeks by a web design company called Blue Dream Creative, as indicated at the bottom of the site.

There is an animated photograph on the homepage along with an embedded property search widget. Scrolling down, you will see options for a market report, home valuation tool, and more.

You can browse homes by community – I liked the map that allows users to explore different areas of Boston.

It is perfect for people who don’t know the different neighborhoods of Boston well – people who are living in other cities and considering relocating to Boston, which seems to be the target audience of the company (hence the name MoveMe2Boston).

8. San Diego HomeSales

The final website we will be looking at is San Diego HomeSales. It has a beautiful homepage with a minimalist design, featuring a search bar in the middle that visitors can use, whether they want to find or sell a home.

I like how it placed certain widgets, such as the home valuation widget and the map search widget, in the right sidebar. That allows users to easily access them and increases engagement while avoiding clutter.

The website is clean and simple, but I felt like the homepage had too much text. It was obvious that the site creators were trying to target different keywords in the different subheadings on the homepage, such as “San Diego relocation services” and “San Diego short sales.”

The weather widget in the sidebar felt a bit unnecessary, but perhaps it serves to attract people who are thinking of relocating to San Diego. Promises of excellent weather (San Diego is known for its good climate) might spur them on to further check out the listings.

Key Takeaways: Real Geeks Website Reviews

Overall, Real Geeks offers excellent tools for real estate agents. The websites, though, are a bit cookie-cutter, in my opinion – as you may have noticed, there is a lot of similarity between the different examples I have shown.

While they offer a lot of customization and flexibility, a lot of the websites look kind of the same. I’m not saying that Real Geeks is bad, I am just saying that you might have a hard time standing out unless you customize your website a bit further.

As a real estate agent, you don’t want a cookie-cutter website that looks like every other real estate agent’s website in your area. You want to be different.

In the examples, you may have also noticed the Real Geeks logo in the footer of the page. Most visitors won’t notice that, and it may be possible to remove, so I wouldn’t say it’s a big deal.

Nevertheless, combined with the CRM and lead generation tools, Real Geeks offers a powerful solution that any realtor could benefit from. The text messaging, client management, and email marketing features can really transform your business.

I would say that the main reason to use Real Geeks is not for the websites themselves, which are just okay. Instead, the real offering of Real Geeks is what comes with the website: The CRM and marketing tools.

Another benefit, of course, is the AI tool, which will help streamline relationships and communication with clients.

The updated MLS listings (which are refreshed every 15 minutes, as I mentioned) is another benefit you wouldn’t get out of the box with a standard website builder like WordPress or Wix.

Conclusion

I hope these Real Geeks website examples give you a better idea of what your Real Geeks website might look like if you decide to use their services.

The websites tend to be clean and simple, but they also come with powerful marketing tools and a robust CRM.

These tools will reduce stress and help you be more productive in your real estate business. If you find yourself getting overwhelmed with the amount of clients you have and the workload you have to deal with, consider using Real Geeks to lessen the burden.

If you are a budding teacher, aspiring to become an instructor in your field, or someone wanting to take up coaching as a profession, you’re in the right place.

Even if you are a seasoned professional and have been teaching for a while but haven’t thought of creating a personal portfolio yet, this post will change your mind.

Today, I’ll share some of the best teacher website examples. These websites are beautifully crafted, carefully picking all the important aspects of web design that are essential to showcase a teacher’s profile.

When making a teacher website, there are some key elements it needs to have to stand out and grab the attention of your intended audience.

These include an About Me page, a blog section, schedules, contact information, your image, and expertise among other aesthetic things. All this gives teachers the credibility they need.

So without much ado, let’s explore these wonderful teacher website examples. These will give you that much-needed inspiration to get started.

Best Teacher Website Examples

Here are the top 13 teacher website examples you can use as inspiration to create your own.

1. JP Teaches Photo

While most photographers stick to social media sites like Instagram to showcase their work, some branch out to start teaching other people photography.

While this can be done on YouTube or Instagram, having a website under your name is much better, and JP Teaches Photo is an excellent template to follow.

The website is the brainchild of JP Pullos, one of the best photographers in New York, who turned his passion for photography into a master class to help advance the art of photography. The first thing you see when you open the website is a clear picture of a smiling Pullos followed by a quick back story.

Adding a picture and a short background story makes you relatable to your audience, as they can put a face to your website.

The site claims to have taught over 60,000 people in 165 countries and even provides premium courses that learners can purchase directly from the website. That’s a good selling point that makes people take a website more seriously.

The colors used are mild, not too bright or dull. So strike a balance that makes everything stand out on your website without too many distractions.

Check Out:

2. Minaa B.

Are you a mental health educator planning to take your practice online to reach a wider audience? Then you should check the Minaa B. website for a few pointers on creating yours.

The layout of this website is simple, without confusing elements. There’s a bit of animation where text rolls from one end to the other, displaying her new book. Something like this will work on your website if you plan to roll out a new service or mental health program because it catches visitors’ attention.

Another inspiring aspect of this website is how the background color has been toned down to reduce the screen glare you’re likely to experience when opening pure white web pages.

Using images is another angle you should emulate, but ensure the images are well-optimized and kept to a minimum to avoid slowing your website.

The About page on this website is beautifully written, capturing Minaa’s life journey to becoming a mental health educator, with everything captured in about four concise paragraphs. Try adding something similar so your potential visitors can know a little about you.

3. Victoria’s Kitchen

Cooking is becoming an integral part of social life, and if you want to give a cooking website a shot, Victoria’s Kitchen is a good example.

Started and run by Victoria, a lifelong baking hobbyist, this website fits the baking aesthetic well. Cooking websites need pop colors, which is why Victoria’s Kitchen has a dash of bright pink and peach mixed with blue for some of the fonts and purple for the graphics.

But you must be careful when selecting bright colors for your website because it’s easy to end up with shades that may clash.

Another interesting feature I haven’t seen on any other website so far is the availability of a map showing Victoria’s Kitchen’s physical location. You can add this if you have a physical premise to help visitors who may want to drop by know exactly where to find you.

Finally, adding images showcasing baked goods is pivotal for the website’s overall performance if you want to attract business. Clean and colorful images of the food you’re specializing in will add credibility to your website.

4. Caroline Haugsted

If you are a dance instructor looking for ideas on how to design a website for teaching people how to dance, then what Caroline Haugsted has done with her website could give you ideas.

The first thing that catches your eye on this website is the logo. It’s in the shape of a person in the middle of dancing, followed by the name Caroline. That logo alone informs you what the website is all about. Therefore, try exploring the same path by using a graphical logo related to dancing, then maybe pair it with your name.

Right after the logo, you can see the image of the dancing instructor. That’s important because people tend to trust personal teacher websites that show the owner’s image, preferably doing something related to what they’re teaching.

So snap a picture of yourself striking a familiar dancing pose and use that. There’s also a section about Caroline Haugstad and her journey with dancing and, most importantly, the school she graduated from. That’s the kind of information that sells a website.

Many videos are used on the website too, which is another good way of showcasing your skills.

Explore:

5. Weronika Zubek Fine Art

This is one of the most personal websites on this list and a perfect example for talented painters who want an official presence online that showcases their work.

What I love most about this website is how Weronika Zubek has integrated a platform for showcasing her work with an online shop where people can buy paintings directly from her. But that’s not all; there’s even a blog where she writes about her art process, among other things.

These kinds of resources make a website like this perform well with audiences. If this is the path you want to take, take some elements from Weronika, like adding an eCommerce platform if you plan to sell your artwork or adding a section for classes if you intend to teach people how to paint.

As for the website’s appearance, the background colors are a mixture of vibrant and earthy tones, complimenting the many art images displayed on the homepage.

Furthermore, Weronika has embedded YouTube videos of her painting process from scratch. This is not only a source of entertainment for website visitors but a way for her to prove that she can deliver what she promises.

6. Laurent Bouty

Marketing has been the pillar of businesses for ages, and as the internet continues to expand, so are online marketing resources. One of the many websites that stand out regarding the best marketing advice and help you can emulate is Lauren Bouty.

Created by Lauren Bouty himself, this website offers marketing packages for big and small businesses worldwide. You’ll also find informative articles that explore all the latest trends in the marketing world.

Like most websites here, it features the image of Lauren Bouty on the homepage, giving the website a face and making it easy for visitors to relate to. Likewise, get a professional-looking image of yourself and use it for your website.

There’s also an inspiration section curated to help people stuck on finding the way forward for their businesses. You can also add that to your website to provide real-time solutions to help people get out of a business rut.

Lauren Bouty uses simple colors and black and white interspaced with images to deliver his marketing advice. Apply the same principle and only include vital information while saving the fleshy details for the blog section.

Explore:

7. Gil

If web design is your cup of tea and you want to guide people who don’t know where to begin, then you might want to check out Gil’s website for ideas on how to model yours.

Created by Gil Huybrecht, the website has a straightforward, white design with strategically placed text that explains everything right away when you open it.

Gil, a digital designer, has the experience required to offer people the advice they need to create the best business websites that increase client engagement.

The way he only displays essential information that adds value to his visitors is something you need to integrate into yours. Other necessary additions that may also serve you, like Gil, include social media links that direct people to your accounts.

8. Christian Dorn Music

It’s commonplace to find talented musicians branching out into training other people to use instruments, and if this is you, Christian Dorn Music can give you ideas to help you design your website better.

On top of offering recording sessions, drum lessons, and performances, Christian Dorn is a talented music tutor who can turn an amateur into a professional within days. He lists all the instruments he’s good at, and that’s the information you also need to display. Nobody wants their visitors to keep guessing.

Like most other websites, Dorn has added images of himself handling different instruments to give a sneak peek of what he can do, which is suitable for the audience. There’s also a short bio where he describes himself and his experience in the music industry.

The colors aren’t as bold as some options listed here, but they get the job done because the layout is easy to navigate with every section labeled. Dorn has also added a blog and other resources like drum PDFs and guides.

Consider having that, too, depending on the type of musical instrument you want to teach on your website.

9. Angela Valencia

This is the perfect teacher website example for anyone trying to teach people a foreign language online. It’s simple, with huge fonts and a colorful logo that catches your attention when you open the homepage.

Angela Valencia, a Colombian native, started the website some years back to provide an easy avenue for people looking to learn Spanish online without paying too much or attending physical classrooms.

The website features a picture of her and a link to a video of her introducing herself and her work in Spanish. That’s a perfect selling point because it creates confidence in people who come to check out your website; if you can add that, the better.

According to the information on her website, Angela Valencia has taught 178 students over 4,520 hours of lessons. There’s also an option for students to book online classes on top of a detailed guide on how the studies work.

In short, one look at the homepage gives you all the information you need about this website, and that’s what you should strive for.

10. Amanda Lynch

Climate change is a big topic for many people right now. If you’re all about educating people about the environment and sustainability, then the Amanda Lynch website will significantly help you.

Amanda Lynch, a professor of earth, environmental and planetary sciences from Brown University, turned her fascination with the planetary ecosystems and built this website to disseminate educational materials to help people understand the current state of our planet.

The site has an academic design made of plain colors and simple fonts. It houses all the necessary information, like research and scientific groups, that could help people pursue a degree in the same field.

11. Ramsey Voice Studio

This beautiful voice coaching website is run by Matt Ramsey, a vocal coach and singing teacher. He provides resources for music students who want to take their craft to the next level.

If you’re a music teacher and want to create your website, I recommend borrowing a leaf from Ramsey Voice Studio. For example, using a microphone for the logo is brilliant as it immediately communicates what the website is all about, and that’s what you want for your website.

Using bright colors, like red, is another clever way of grabbing attention, so consider moving in the same direction with bold colors.

Another helpful bit about the website is how easy it is for people to get in touch or subscribe to the services they need. For instance, clients can book sessions online and, at the same time, access a very detailed blog that explores everything about music and voice training.

You should also consider adding a very detailed About Me page like the one on Ramsey Voice Studio, where you list your qualifications, experience, and what you offer. This is important because users want to know immediately that they’re dealing with a professional.

12. Ken Duncan Mah

This is the platform you should be looking at for tutors who deal with UI/UX design and would like to create their website.

The first thing that stands out about this website is how Ken Duncan combined bold colors like bright red with animated elements in the background. Using different kinds of bold fonts is another feature common with UI/UX designers, and that’s what you should aim for.

The website also lists all the services Ken Duncan provides, and you should emulate that, too, to ensure people get all the information they need immediately. Adding your contact information is essential, too, just in case people want to get more details about your services.

But overall, UI/UX websites shouldn’t be too cluttered with too many details. So don’t overdo it with text and balance things with some visual graphics, as they’re better at showcasing your skills.

13. Kim Strobel

The list would be incomplete without one website that deals with motivational speakers. While there’s a lot of skepticism towards this profession, you’ll be surprised at how many people benefit from having a mentor show them the right path.

Kim Strobel is a self-proclaimed motivational speaker, happiness coach, and real talk truth-teller, and this website is an excellent example of how an inspirational web page should look like.

If you have plans to inspire people to be better versions of themselves, try emulating this website’s overall outlook. As you can see, there’s very little use of eccentric and bold colors. Instead, Kim has opted for calming earthly tones like jungle green.

The website also has a straightforward setup with a string of navigation buttons near the top, followed by a simple image showcasing Kim Strobel and a short description of what she offers, her qualifications, and her work.

In the same way, provide your audience with similar information and ensure the image you take shows you with a bright smile. You can’t inspire people with a sad face.

You can also add images of yourself in action, maybe on stage, delivering a speech, or just interacting with your audience.

10. The Heart Centered Leadership Institute

Last on my list of the best life coach websites worth emulating is Dr. Nore Salman’s site, The Heart Centered Leadership Institute. His website has a clean interface and is very attractive.

The background color of a hand holding a compass is also appealing, signifying the power to change the direction of your life is within your reach.

Dr. Salman also ditched the traditional drop-down menu. The website has an intuitive interface, so scrolling down is easy. I also like her choice of images and graphics, with subtle colors that beautifully blend with the white background.

Dr. Salman also makes navigating her blog easy by combining some of the best reads and making them easily accessible.

Kajabi is an online subscription platform created in 2010 by Kenny Rueter; that allows people to create and manage websites for monetizing digital offerings like podcasts, online courses, and membership communities, among many others.

What makes Kajabi a popular platform is the array of unique features it offers users. For example, web hosting is included in all the Kajabi price plans. You also get access to web-building tools that allow you to choose the themes you want and customize the layout to your liking.

Kajabi also employs innovative auto-scaling technology to optimize your site and make it fast and responsive, irrespective of how heavy the visitor traffic may be.

Kajabi websites are also SEO-optimized, with one-click marketing and blogging tools and smooth video and audio streaming features that make your website perfect for driving up user engagement and so much more.

In this article, I’ll explore some of the best websites built on Kajabi so you can see just how good this platform is. If you’ve been considering setting up a website but don’t know where to start, this is for you.

Best Kajabi Website Examples

There are so many websites to choose from, and since we can’t cover all of them, I decided to pick the best ones based on the different niches they cater to.

1. Yoga With Adriene – Fitness

This is a beautiful website running on Kajabi that focuses on fitness and, more specifically, yoga.

The website has everything you would expect to see in a fitness-oriented site – amazing fitness images, some videos, and several premium courses that people can buy.

You can see elements of Kajabi all over just by looking at the landing page. For example, all the media content is well-optimized and the website loads immediately without any buffering.

This is common on Kajabi websites and is very important considering how picky users are these days. Nobody ever wastes their time looking at websites that take too long to load.

At the very top, there’s a menu icon that has courses and a section for signing into a “My Library” section. The courses have different names and, unlike most of the other websites, there’s no exact amount users are required to pay. You simply pay what you feel is right, with a minimum price of $0.99.

Notable courses include Revolution, Yoga Camp, 30 Days of Yoga, Dedicate, and a host of other options. Each comes with a download option with two curated training materials that should help you attain the best yoga fitness without much help.

Overall, Yoga With Adrienne is well-executed with amazing fonts, and users won’t have trouble navigating it. To get the most out of this website, you have to create an account and sign in.

2. The Novelry – Writing

If you’ve ever wanted to know how to write novels like Stephen King without selling your kidney to afford the exorbitant writing school tuition out there, then The Novelry is your best alternative.

This Kajabi website was created with writers in mind, and the landing page alone has more text than any other website I’ve ever seen, but all of it is valuable information.

The Novelry sells writing courses and welcomes all types of writers from all ages and nationalities. On the landing page, visitors can choose a course of their liking, with the most notable ones including The Novel Kickstarter, The Novel Development Plan, and The Finished Novel, all premium.

The website also features easy-to-play videos that load immediately, even with slow internet speeds. This is more proof of how well-optimized Kajabi websites can be when executed correctly.

Visitors can also sign up, book a live chat, and even connect to social media pages with a single click. The Novelry is well-made with the right combination of colors, and the overall user interface is very easy on the eyes.

3. Wife. Mother. Leader. – Motherhood

This website is aimed at career women who are also juggling their family roles, which may be a little challenging for most people. It provides coaching for women on how to build their careers without sacrificing their marriages or the time they need to spend with their kids.

The website also offers some valuable tips for parenting, like, for instance, a very detailed guide on how to hire a trustworthy house cleaner within seven days without breaking the bank. There are also tips on how to go out for weekly date nights and plan meals, among many others.

And typical of any Kajabi website, Wife. Mother. Leader. is full of actional buttons that help visitors get to where they need to without spending too much time browsing.

For example, there’s a section for podcasts that open with a single click of a button. The podcasts are smooth, clear, and without any buffering, indicating a highly optimized website.

At the very top, there’s a button you can tap to the latest podcasts that have been posted to the website. The best part about this is that you don’t need an account to listen to the informative podcast. Just click and play.

The website uses colorful palettes that include orange, light blue, and yellow, which can sometimes be a little off. But overall, as far as functionality goes, this Kajabi-run website has nailed everything down to the last detail very well.

4. Betsy Jordyn – Inspirational

Everybody needs some inspiration from time to time and this is what this amazing Kajabi-based website brings to the table.

The website has everything, from amazing and soothing videos of different people giving inspirational words to podcasts with very clear sound. The website itself makes use of beautiful fonts and colors that are very attractive – the kind that makes a visitor just want to spend more time there.

I tried clicking some of the videos and they immediately started playing without any buffering or frame freezes. That’s a characteristic of a well-optimized website that strikes that delicate balance between quality content and fast loading speeds.

The same was replicated with the podcasts. At no point did I need to wait for the audio to load.

At the same time, the Betsy Jordyn website is more than just a place that gives people hope. It’s full of resources that can help people kickstart their lives in different ways. For example, there are sections for business strategies, media resources, marketing tips, and even website copywriting.

As for the online courses, there are several of them starting from $47 all the way to $597, all of them complete with learning materials and personal discussions with the experts that run the website. So check it out and see how things turn out for you.

5. Fully Raw – Healthy Eating

Dieting is big business right now, and everyone with enough money in their bank account is going to full lengths to get their hands on the latest popular dieting trend. Out of the many Kajabi websites I looked at, this caught my eye based on the content and interesting name.

Fully Raw is a website for vegans and provides information related to all types of raw vegan diets that people looking to abstain from meat can try.

This was the most colorful website on this list, which is natural and expected of any food-related site. This is because catching attention matters the most, so it has to look lively.

Fully Raw is highly interactive, another common characteristic of Kajabi-run websites. Right from the landing page, visitors can join the challenge of the day by clicking on a button. This then redirects them to another page with informative videos that show them how to create natural juices from scratch.

This is also the page where the benefits of the various raw diets are beautifully listed in an easy-to-read format in beautiful fonts. I loved the way different colors were used to highlight the important bits for the reader to catch on easily and quickly.

Fully Raw also takes full advantage of Kajabi’s business-oriented model by selling merchandise like directing ebooks and exclusive access to cleansing camps. Further down, you’ll be met by testimonies from people who have taken part in these camps and challenges.

This website is a trove of information for people who want to take their dieting seriously, and it has used Kajabi resources perfectly to get the intended message across.

6. The Empowered Entrepreneur – Business

For those looking to switch from formal employment to starting their own business, this Kajabi-based website may have what you’re looking for.

The Empowered Entrepreneur is a unique site that tries to focus on the power of using the brain to expand entrepreneurial skills. Basically, it addresses the biggest fear that most people trying to venture into business have: their inability to change and adapt to the environment.

Like any other money-generating activity, being able to tap into the brain’s power when making decisions could be the difference between a successful business venture and a failed one. This website, therefore, provides coaching programs where business owners are trained to switch from working harder to working smarter.

The Empowered Entrepreneur is well-designed with a very simple layout. Everything is straightforward and self-explanatory; a single look at the landing page will tell you everything you need to know.

There’s also an informative blog that follows a similar line of thought, where most of the topics are geared toward imparting critical thinking skills to people looking to try their hand at business.

Overall, this website is easy to navigate, and there are no lags when it comes to loading pages, even when you have slow internet. That’s common with Kajabi websites.

7. ICY Productions – Video Production

In the current world that we live in, video content has become the most loved medium of communication. Platforms like TikTok grew into an overnight success with their simple video content format, and now every other social media site is trying to mimic that template.

ICY Productions is a website that provides lessons on making professional-looking videos without using sophisticated equipment or paying vast amounts of money for video-editing software.

One thing that stands out the most about this website is the use of colors that would look out of place in any other setting. It’s not every day you see yellows and blues used in harmony, but that’s what ICY Productions has achieved here.

And in true Kajabi style, this website is full of actionable buttons that direct the user to quickstart guides.

And speaking of guides, this website has a section that gives iPhone users tips on making professional-looking videos without issues. There’s also a store that showcases the contents of each online course.

Visitors can either choose the Basic course, which is suitable for those on a budget, or the iPhone Film School course for those who want to use their smartphones.

Each course has amazing tutorial videos that take users through each video-making process. The videos played without buffering on all my devices, meaning the whole site is well-optimized for media.

Some features of the site require an account and a premium subscription but other resources, like the blog, can be accessed by anyone at any time.

8. Functional Lawyer – Law

This is a very unique website that was started by Scott Rattigan, a licensed lawyer in the state of Florida. It focuses on providing services and consultancy in medical law, something Scott realized was lacking in most places in the United States.

The site offers quite a number of services that range from an analysis of current legal situations in the medical world as well as providing solutions for unique complications that most law firms have no experience in dealing with.

Another amazing thing that people can benefit from using this website is that it keeps the most updated information regarding the changing landscape of law around the country. This is very important considering how fast laws change every day in a country as vast as the United States.

It features simple videos that explain how Functional Lawyer works and there was no buffering whenever I played videos on the website.

Visitors can schedule a consultation and get help from a team of the best lawyers. Most of these meetings take 45 minutes according to the website, which is enough time to address a lot of issues.

There’s an option for people to sign up and become members. Members gain unlimited access to resources like templates which they can customize for their court cases without spending too much.

There’s also legal and business education offered on the website and they cover areas like HIPAA, Telemedicine, and Practice Essentials, among others. Enrollment fees start from $417 per month to $499 per month depending on the course you choose.

Also ReadBest Angular Website Examples

9. Orthovated – Medical

Of course, this list wouldn’t be complete without a medical website considering how important things like telemedicine have become with the advancement in technology.

Orthovated looks exactly like you would expect a medical website to look. A dash of blue here and there, images of smiling doctors on the landing page, and several call-to-action buttons lead visitors to different website areas.

This website trains orthodontic professionals who have long suffered from an insufficient workforce since not many schools offer these courses.

So this is a very innovative way for newly graduated orthodontists to further improve their skills, and what better way to do that than to learn from fellow professionals with experience?

This website has incorporated a lot of Kajabi features. For example, visitors can tap on a button on the landing page to book a free demo call to preview what they will get if they sign up, a perfect marketing trick.

Further down, you can see the detailed guide on how someone can become a member of this online course, which involves two simple steps: creating an account and paying for the course you want.

Like all the other websites we’ve covered so far, Orthovated has videos that play without buffering as they are optimized. The same applies to the many images that litter the whole website.

However, the online courses on Orthovated aren’t cheap. The Orthovated Assistant course alone costs $2,999. But on the flip side, it comes with several incentives that should encourage anyone serious about elevating their craft to take it.

Other than that, this site is very well made, with a simple layout that’s easy to navigate.

10. Conscious Combat – Self Defense

Finally, wrapping up our list of the ten best Kajabi website examples is the Conscious Combat Club, a unique website teaching people self-defense techniques.

Regarding website aesthetics, this is one of the best-looking websites on this list that features a light red background color with beautiful fonts in varying sizes and boldness. In short, it’s a very legible website with all the elements strategically placed all over the landing page for easy access.

The Conscious Combat Club was founded in 2020 and mainly focuses on teaching women self-defense to protect themselves whenever they find themselves under attack. Here’s a quote from the website that best describes what this website is all about.

“Conscious Combat is not fighting. It combines consciousness with the physicality of martial arts to allow us to move from a state of self-defense to offense. By exploring our vulnerabilities and processing our trauma, we can discover our body’s full strength and capability. By consciously teaching combat, guided by trauma-informed principles, we aim to help people expand their window of tolerance.”

Based in Melbourne, the site provides podcasts on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube, where all topics related to personal safety are discussed in detail. There’s also a blog that dives deep into the many faces of self-defense techniques from around the world.

But the most essential part of The Conscious Combat Club is the programs it offers its members. There’s a $440 course broken down into eight sessions where users learn the foundations of martial art techniques like kickboxing.

I loved this website’s use of bold colors and fonts, as it has taken advantage of the most notable Kajabi website features. I also loved the shop segment, where different kinds of merchandise are sold, from t-shirts to hoodies of all colors.

Having an author’s website is important for advancing your writing career. A website will give you much-needed exposure and visibility and serve as a place to showcase your past works and future projects.

Building an author’s website isn’t always easy, though. If you’re hitting a mental block and unsure how to design your site or what to put on it, looking at examples of successful author websites can help and provide much-needed inspiration.

In this article, I will be showing you 18 examples of author websites – including a few unpublished author websites.

Even if you haven’t yet published a book, I recommend setting up an author website. It will make it more likely for you to get a publishing offer in the future – it make you appear more professional.

Let’s get into it.

Author Website Examples [Including Unpublished Author Examples]

1. Brit Bennett

Brit Bennett is the author of The Vanishing Half. The Vanishing Half is her second novel and was listed as #1 on the New York Times best-selling list in the fiction category.

In fact, the book was so successful that HBO entered into an agreement with Brit to start a drama series called The Vanishing Half, based on her book of the same name.

With that said, let’s look at Brit Bennett’s author website. Surely, such a successful author will have a great website.

What I like about her website is the simplicity of it. It has a light-colored background – kind of a beige tint – which is easy on the eyes.

The biggest thing that stands out about her website is how it puts her book upfront, in the center. The entire homepage focuses on her best-selling novel.

There is an image of the book in the center, with praises from publications like The Minneapolis Star Tribune and celebrities like Oprah all around it.

The fonts used are simple – there’s no need for anything extravagant. If you have a well-designed book cover and have received good reviews, you can use this kind of format.

The reviews don’t need to be from major publications or people like Oprah. They can be from Amazon or small book review sites – you’ll change them up as you grow and get more exposure and reviews.

Brit’s site lets her books and reviews speak for themselves. There are three call-to-action buttons at the bottom of the screen:

  • Order Now
  • Learn More
  • The Vanishing Half Book Club Kit

In the header menu, there are options such as:

  • Books
  • Events
  • Other works
  • Press

In the footer menu, there are just three social icons that lead you to the author’s social media pages.

This kind of format works great. Too many authors overpopulate their homepage with a list of all their published articles and works, which can get confusing.

If you have one book that was the most successful, feature it on your homepage. You can add menu links for any additional works you created.

2. Michael S. Jackson

Michael Jackson is the author of the Ringlander series, starting with The Path and the Way and continuing with the prequel The Battle That Was Lost.

His website is designed very well, with the title of his main book featured up front. The background fits the fantasy adventure niche, and I found the website easy to scroll through and navigate.

When you scroll down, you will see his other books, followed by the main characters in the series.

The header of the site lists the places where the book is available, which I thought was a nice touch. That way, nobody has to search needlessly where to find the book.

3. Dan Brown

Dan Brown is the author of The Da Vinci Code, one of the best-selling novels in history. A film was made based on his novel, which sold over two hundred million copies in over 50 languages.

Named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine, Dan Brown has an excellent website that you can all get inspiration from. The design is just beautiful, starting with a splash page featuring his new show.

Scrolling down, you will see a brief but well-written author section, followed by links to his photo gallery and press section. Scroll down a bit more to see a full list of novels by this best-selling author – despite being known for The Da Vinci Code, Brown authored many other works as well.

4. J. K. Rowling

Who hasn’t heard of J. K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series?

Only such a renowned author can have such a site, with a homepage divided into two sections – one for grownups and another interactive section for teens and other young readers.

J. K. Rowling’s website doesn’t feature her works upfront (although there is a page for it), because it doesn’t need to. Anyone visiting the site knows about her books.

Instead, her website focuses on news updates and blog posts by J. K. Rowling.

5. E. L. James

E. L. James is another famous author – she wrote Fifty Shades of Grey.

The white and pink color scheme suits her niche, provocative romance, very well.

After a brief introduction to who she is accompanied by a professional portrait, you will find a schedule of her upcoming book tour, followed by a list of her books and a link to each one.

The header menu leads you to her other books, movies based on her books, blog, and more.

6. Katherine Arden

Katherine Arden authored several fantasy novel books, and she featured them all upfront on her website.

I think one of the reasons this format works so well for her books is that they have beautiful cover designs, and she created a site background to match them.

Scrolling down, you see options for viewing her upcoming tours and a link to her about page. There is also a page that features fan art from her fans with the ability to upload your own, which I thought was interesting.

7. Gail Gibbons

Gail Gibbons is a leading American author of children’s books. She has won many awards for her illustrated books.

Her site is not exactly the most modern-looking site, but it works. The funky color scheme wouldn’t work if she authored adult books, but for children’s books, it does.

The book provides information about the author and lists her most recent books. You can also find teaching resources, teacher’s guides, and more.

8. Jane Friedman

Jane Friedman is an author and a reporter on the book publishing industry. Her website is awesome – while there is a section for her books, it mainly establishes her as an authority and resource for new and published authors.

She offers online classes for writers and two separate newsletters – one for creative people and one for professional authors. Both newsletters are free.

Her brief bio both emphasizes her experience – “I’ve been working in book publishing since the 1990s” – and her value to writers and others in the book publishing industry – “but my views are not from the 1990s. Amidst rapid change in the industry, writers need honest and unbiased guidance to make the best decisions for their careers.”

Her blog offers valuable advice to writers, guides on getting published, her thoughts and opinions on various topics of interest to aspiring authors, and more. The site adds authority with authority badges indicating she has been featured by major outlets like NPR and The New York Times.

9. J. F. Penn

J. F. Penn is a New York Times best-selling author. Her website loudly proclaims the type of topics she writes about: “Thrillers. Dark Fantasy. Crime. Escape. Adventure. Travel.”

The theme is dark, gripping, and mysterious, just like her novels. It offers information about the author and what she’s working on right now, as well as links for those interested in purchasing her books.

She also offers a free thriller ebook, which is something I haven’t seen many authors do. This free ebook serves as a lead magnet for signing up for her newsletter – a tried-and-tested marketing tactic that works wonderfully.

10. Karen Rinaldi

Karen Rinaldi is the author of The End of Men and (It’s Great to) Suck at Something. Her website is quirky and interesting.

Her short bio reads, “Karen Rinaldi is a professional preacher of the gospel of suckitude. Before she found surfing, she sucked at plenty of things.” The website also invites you to sign up for her newsletter to get your “weekly dose of suckitude.”

Of course, suckitude isn’t a real word. That’s what makes it so intriguing.

The title of her book and her entire premise – that it’s actually good to suck at things – is also quite fascinating. It immediately makes her stand out from the crowd.

I also liked how there was an audio excerpt of her book The End of Men uploaded to the site.

11. George Donnelly

George Donnelly is a science fiction author who also writes about crypto and finance. The design is simple and intuitive, but I really liked the books section.

On that page, instead of simply listing the books he wrote as many authors do, he starts with an introduction of what kind of stories he writes and what you can expect to find in his books. It’s not a long-winded description but a short five-point list of what makes his books unique.

For authors who aren’t as well known as J. K. Rowling, this strategy can be very helpful for connecting with people who are researching books in your niche and come across your site.

The page also features reviews from Amazon and Goodreads and lists the ideas he is currently working on. It also offers not just a free book but an entire free starter library, accessible on Kindle, Google Play, Kobo, the iBookstore, and more.

Email subscribers get not only these free books but exclusive discounts, insider peeks, and more.

Overall, I thought his site did an incredible job of featuring the author, who he is, what his interests are, and his style of writing. His picture on the front page is more like a selfie than a professional portrait, which has the subtle effect of making him very relatable to readers.

12. Leah Weiss

Leah Weiss is an author who found a nice slogan for herself – “Southern by Grace.” Being a southerner is part of her identity, especially as an author, and it is reflected in her works.

Her novel, If the Creek Don’t Rise, was a Southern Book Prize Nominee. She also wrote a book called All the Little Hopes, which followed two young southern girls who embarked upon a path of discovery when a Nazi prisoner of war camp came to their small town in North Carolina.

The site is well-designed and has a lot of empty white space, something that is missing on a lot of author sites. That makes it easy to navigate.

13. Wordfire

Wordfire is the website of famed science fiction writer Kevin J. Anderson, who wrote spin-off novels for Star Wars and The X-Files. Due to his fame, he is able to sell signed copies of his books on his website – a luxury that lesser-known authors can’t afford.

His website advertises his Kickstarter campaign for his upcoming novel. If you need fundraising for a novel, you can definitely try Kickstarter, although it works best if you already have a loyal fan base.

Wordfire also showcases his other projects, like the publishing Master of Arts that he launched in conjunction with Western Colorado University.

14. Sally Koslow

Sally Koslow’s site is engaging and immediately hypes you up on her new release, The Real Mrs. Tobias. It features the book, alongside praise, with links to sites where you can purchase it.

In the Also by Sally Koslow section, you can see her other books. That’s it for the homepage – it’s pretty short, sweet, and simple.

The header menu is where you can find other information, such as her essays and contact information.

15. Grady Hendrix

Grady Hendrix’s site is a bit interesting. It doesn’t feature his personal photo on the homepage or about page, unlike many of the other author sites you’ve seen.

Instead, the homepage simply lists all of his books, with a contact option at the bottom. It uses a simple white background and features the books in a photo gallery format.

At the top of the page, you can find links to his podcast, events, and FAQs page. You can also access the about page, where you can learn more about the author.

Unpublished Author Websites

Finding unpublished author websites is a bit more challenging, but I’ve managed to collect a few for you. Your unpublished author website should tell your story and perhaps give a brief insight into the type of things you’re working on, without giving away your entire unpublished book.

16. BB Writer

A minimalist design doesn’t mean your website has to look outdated. Just look at BB Writer – despite being minimalist, it has a nice user experience.

The author, Barbara Bordalejo, wrote The University of Shadows, a novel that doesn’t seem to be published anywhere yet.

It’s a good site, but still a work in progress. Some of the links just lead back to the homepage, and the social icons in the footer don’t lead to the author’s social media pages but rather Wix’s social media pages (the site was created with Wix, a free website builder).

17. Peppermint Sunshine

Peppermint Sunshine is the website of Amber Samuel, a teacher and writer. While there are no featured books on the site, it does showcase his short story writings, which are captivating, vivid, and thrilling.

It’s a good example of what you can do as an unpublished author. You shouldn’t publish an entire book on your site, but writing short stories can showcase your skills as a novelist and writer.

18. Rowyn Ramsky

If you’re an unpublished author, you might not have the money to afford a website. Fortunately, there are many free website builder platforms that allow you to build your online portfolio or page for free.

We already featured a Wix site, but another free website builder is Yola.

Rowyn Ramsky’s site is a good example of a small webpage you can use to showcase your interests or writing, even without being published. It’s a simple site with just a few pages, allowing readers to learn more about the author, sign up for their newsletter, and contact them.

According to the about page, Rowyn “has an undying fascination with paranormal topics and an absolute adoration for all ghostly things.”

While she doesn’t list any published books, the site does note her accomplishments on Wattpad, a writing platform that allows aspiring and published writers to showcase short stories and other works.

Rowyn’s New Adult and Young Adult manuscripts on Wattpad have received over one million reads and various awards, and she is now a Wattpad Star and a featured writer on the Paid Stories section on the site.

Final Thoughts

The author websites in this list vary greatly in design, style, and purpose. Some are minimalist, with little information other than a list of the author’s books, while others are loaded with stories, blog posts, and other information about the author.

Some have simple designs, while others have engaging and sometimes complex graphics.

Remember, your author website is supposed to reflect your tone of voice as an author. It should be unique, just like your books and personality are unique, which is why you’ll see such diversity in author websites.

Take the time to find your voice and format your author website accordingly.
